Pymwymic Expands Platform with €170m+ AUM Across Three Funds

Pymwymic and Triodos Investment Management (Triodos IM) have completed the transfer of the Triodos Food Transition Europe Fund to Pymwymic, giving rise to the Pymwymic Healthy Food Systems Growth Impact Fund III (the “Growth Fund”). The transition marks a significant step in Pymwymic’s evolution as a specialist food system impact investor, extending its capabilities into growth-stage investing for the first time.

With the Growth Fund now under its umbrella, Pymwymic manages more than €170 million across three funds, with a combined portfolio of over 40 companies spanning the food value chain across 16 countries. The firm describes this as one of the deepest track records in European impact-driven food and agriculture investing.

A Relationship Built Over Three Decades

Pymwymic and Triodos IM share more than 30 years of aligned conviction that capital can drive systemic change in the food system. The fund transfer is presented by both parties as a logical next step in that long-standing relationship rather than a commercial transaction. The Growth Fund will carry forward the same investment mandate: backing privately owned, mature businesses across Europe that contribute to ecologically and socially resilient food systems.

“For Pymwymic, this transfer represents a step-change in our ability to back food system innovators also at scale. It creates a strong platform for ambitious food and agriculture businesses across Europe, with the right capital, expertise, and strategic network needed to scale their impact,” said Rogier Pieterse, Managing Partner at Pymwymic.

What the Transfer Means for Triodos IM

For Triodos Investment Management, divesting the food transition fund reflects a broader strategic refocus. The firm is concentrating its efforts on five priority growth areas: financial inclusion in emerging markets, energy transition in Europe, listed impact equities and bonds, bespoke institutional solutions, and nature-based solutions.

“We are pleased to have completed the transfer of Triodos Food Transition Europe Fund to Pymwymic. With Pymwymic as a leading sustainable food investor, the fund is well positioned for continued growth and sustained impact, ensuring continuity for investors and portfolio companies,” said Hadewych Kuiper, Managing Director Investments at Triodos IM.

Three Investment Professionals Join Pymwymic from Triodos IM

As part of the transfer, Adam Kybird, Artem Galchenko, and Josep Segarra Garcia are moving from Triodos IM to Pymwymic, bringing the total team headcount to 14. Their transition is intended to provide continuity for the fund’s existing portfolio companies and investors, while deepening Pymwymic’s expertise in later-stage investing and long-term active ownership.

“For over a decade, Triodos Food Transition Europe Fund has backed pioneers reshaping our food system, proving that impact and financial returns can go hand in hand. Moving to Pymwymic builds on that track record and provides a strong platform for the fund’s next phase,” said Adam Kybird, Associate Partner.

Portfolio Collaboration Across the Food Value Chain

Beyond capital deployment, Pymwymic highlights that the combined three-fund portfolio creates new opportunities for cross-portfolio collaboration. Companies operating at different stages — from farm to fork — can now access shared technologies, operational expertise, and industry networks under one platform. The firm notes that founders tackling related challenges are better positioned to collaborate and reinforce the broader food and agriculture ecosystem when brought together in this way.

Pymwymic Positions Itself as a Full-Lifecycle Food System Investor

With the launch of the Healthy Food Systems Growth Impact Fund III, Pymwymic now holds the ability to support companies from early innovation through to growth and maturity. The firm is positioning itself as a full-lifecycle specialist within European food and agriculture investing — a space where, according to both parties, sector expertise and long-term alignment are becoming increasingly decisive as impact investment matures as an asset class.
