SecondBloom Auctions, a leading auction management firm specializing in controlled agriculture, announced on August 24, 2023, that it will oversee the sale of key assets from AeroFarms’ original vertical farming facility in Newark, NJ. The online auction is set to run from August 28 to September 18 and will feature a range of specialized agriculture equipment, including lighting systems, automation technology, and racking.

AeroFarms’ Move to Danville
Earlier in April 2023, AeroFarms announced that it would relocate all its operations from the Newark facility to a state-of-the-art in Danville, Virginia. With the transition now complete, the assets from the Newark location are available for sale through this auction.
Preview and Asset Removal
AeroFarms representatives will be on-site at the 212 Rome facility in Newark during the preview days on September 7-8 to showcase the assets and assist potential bidders. Those interested in advanced viewing must fill out a form on SecondBloom Auctions’ website under the auction lot they are interested in. The asset removal process for winning bidders must be concluded by September 28.
