Gripp, a mobile-first farm operations platform, announced a $1.5 million pre-seed round led by Ag Ventures Alliance, while DeHaat confirmed its acquisition of NEERX, gaining access to ISRO-validated SHOOL sensor technology and cloud-based analytics. Beewise secured $50 million in Series D funding to scale its AI-powered BeeHome™ system globally, bringing its total funding to nearly $170 million.
Nutrient Sensing, FinTech Ag Lending, and Startup Programs
Precision agriculture startup TerraBlaster attracted investment from The Reservoir, aligning with its strategy to support impactful technologies like Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS). Meanwhile, American AgCredit, in partnership with Plug and Play, launched Seed4Growth, a new initiative aimed at accelerating digital transformation in ag lending.
UAVs: Challenges and Potential
In an interview with AgTech Digest, Lukas Koch, CEO of Kelly Hills Unmanned Systems, discussed the adoption of UAVs for agricultural spraying, logistics, and data collection. He emphasized integration with data systems and peer validation as critical to expanding drone adoption in farming.
“The sector is in its early phases, but we’re seeing growing trust from farmers when technology is proven in real-world scenarios,” Koch shared.

Notable updates include Biotalys’ regulatory progress for EVOCA™, its biocontrol product based on the AGROBODY™ platform, and Phytoform’s collaboration with Corteva to use AI for accelerating trait discovery in corn. STARFISH Bioscience unveiled a bacterial genome atlas of Bordeaux vineyards, while Cibus received USDA non-regulated status for its HT2 herbicide tolerance trait in canola.
Ostara launched its CG P2X phosphorus fertilizer in Western Canada, aiming to double phosphorus use efficiency in crops, distributed exclusively by Taurus Agricultural Marketing.
CEA Developments: Automation and Infrastructure Partnerships
Indoor farming and greenhouse innovation also made headlines. LettUs Grow partnered with HT Verboom to deploy aeroponics in greenhouses, while Water Garden Farms, Siemens, and CEAd announced a new 500,000 sq. ft. indoor farm in West Virginia.
