The Seguin, Texas-based equipment maker (NYSE: ALG) reported adjusted EBITDA of $63.9 million, or 14.2% of net sales, up 8.7% from a year earlier. “Our second quarter results reflect continued execution across the business, highlighted by strong sales growth in our Industrial Equipment Division, improved adjusted earnings, and solid adjusted EBITDA performance,” said Robert Hureau, President and CEO of Alamo Group.
Industrial Equipment Leads Growth
Net sales in the Industrial Equipment Division rose 12.8% to $271.6 million, reflecting organic demand and a contribution from the Petersen acquisition completed earlier this year. Adjusted EBITDA in the division was $45.3 million, or 16.7% of net sales.
Vegetation Management Holds Steady
Vegetation Management Division sales were $179.1 million, up 0.4% from a year earlier, as stable demand offset pressure in certain end markets. Adjusted EBITDA in the division held at $18.6 million, or 10.4% of net sales.
