Case IH Announces Model Year 2027 Baler Range Updates
Case IH has unveiled significant Model Year 2027 updates across its large square and round baler ranges, targeting productivity, durability, automation, and sustainability for farmers and contractors operating under tighter harvest windows and increasing cost pressure. The updated range — covering the LB4, LB6, RB6, and RB6 HD Pro — will be available from the third quarter of 2027.
Case IH LB4 and LB6 Large Square Balers: New Feeder, Cutter and Driveline
The LB4 and LB6 large square baler series receives the most extensive updates for Model Year 2027. A new Rotor Feeder option joins the lineup, designed to deliver continuous and controlled crop flow to support high throughput across varying crop conditions. The Rotor Cutter version is now available with up to 57 knives and pairs with a new lightweight knife drawer for faster access and easier cleaning. Individual knife protection and on-the-go cut-length adjustment allow operators to adapt quickly without stopping.
A new driveline concept combines a hydraulic-controlled slip clutch and real-time torque measurement with a load indicator, giving operators continuous feedback on working capacity. A new Large Square Baler Automation interface consolidates controls into a single-screen environment to reduce complexity during high-pressure harvest periods.
“Tighter weather windows, rising costs and labour constraints demand machines that deliver, every single hour, bale after bale. Our Model Year 2027 large square baler addresses exactly those needs. The new, innovative driveline provides the operator with real-time feedback on throughput and the confidence to push performance when it matters most,” said Marco Otten, EMEA Product Manager Balers at Case IH.
RB6 and RB6 HD Pro: Durability, Automation and Compostable Net Wrap
The RB6 round baler series gains a strengthened bale chamber and upgraded core components for improved robustness in demanding conditions. Factory-ready Tractor and Baler Automation reduces operator input by automatically stopping the tractor, wrapping, and ejecting the bale — supporting consistent performance across varying operator experience levels. An expanded monitor offering further simplifies fleet management.
The RB6 HD Pro, designed for large farm and contractor operations, receives enhanced Case IH FieldOps™ connectivity, providing access to extended baling data including field performance metrics, advanced bale tracking, and mapping tools to support logistics and planning across larger operations.
Across both round baler series, Case IH is introducing Nature's Net Wrap — a compostable, plant-based net wrap option that delivers the same wrapping performance and bale integrity as conventional plastic net wrap while reducing plastic waste and the time and cost associated with collection and disposal. The wrap is designed to break down through natural biological processes under composting conditions and integrates directly into existing baling practices without workflow changes.
