IFFCO Group Opens Plant-Based Meat Factory in Dubai’s Industrial City

The IFFCO Group has opened the Middle East’s first-ever 100-percent plant-based meat factory in Dubai’s Industrial City. The factory, named THRYVE, is located in the city’s heart and is designed to provide healthy and sustainable local plant-based meat products inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine’s unique flavors. With this initiative, the IFFCO Group aims to catalyze the shift towards a more sustainable and healthy food chain in the Middle East, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and the UAE’s Vision 2051 initiative to bolster food security through diversity and innovation. The plant-based meat factory’s cutting-edge food technology contributes to at least three UN SDGs: good health and well-being, responsible consumption and production, and climate action.
