POWR2, a manufacturer of mobile battery energy storage systems for commercial, industrial, and utility-grade use, has begun shipping the next-generation POWRBANK MAX. The unit combines large storage capacity with uninterruptible power supply features aimed at customers that need stable power on demanding sites.

Each unit provides 250 kVA of continuous output and 500 kWh of usable energy, with a true double-conversion UPS architecture that offers a 0.0 millisecond transfer time. It accepts virtually any input frequency while holding a stable 60Hz output and corrects power factor to 0.98.

“This generation adds a level of power quality customers haven’t had from mobile storage before,” said Hudson Nunn, VP Revenue at POWR2.

Certification and Scalability

The POWRBANK MAX is CSA Listed to UL 9540 for compliance in the United States and Canada, and it is assembled in the USA. Up to 10 units can be paralleled for 2.5 MVA and 5 MWh of dispatchable capacity. Each unit is rated for roughly 2.82 GWh of lifetime throughput, with parasitic loss under 1 kW in typical operating conditions.

Remote Control Platform

The system runs on POWR2’s ADVANTAGE energy control platform, which gives authorized users remote monitoring and control through a secure browser-based portal.
