Cropin Deploys Sisense to Power Self-Service Embedded Analytics Across Cropin Cloud
Cropin, an AI platform digitising farming operations for CPG, food retail, food processing, and government organisations across more than 100 countries, has deployed Sisense to deliver embedded analytics within Cropin Cloud. The integration transformed analytics from a manual, request-driven process — which previously involved multiple teams and took three to six weeks per report — into a scalable, self-service capability that customers can access directly within the platform.
From Multi-Week Backlogs to Near-Instant Self-Service
Before adopting Sisense, the company relied on disconnected reporting and ETL tools that created bottlenecks for both customers and internal teams. After evaluating Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik, Cropin selected Sisense for its embedded analytics capabilities, multi-tenancy support, and flexible APIs and SDKs. Using Sisense Compose SDK, the team integrated analytics directly into Cropin Cloud as a seamless, fully white-labelled experience. Secure, customer-specific analytics environments were deployed at global scale using ElastiCubes and role-level security.
“Before Sisense, every request had to go through our team, and it was a long process involving multiple teams. Sisense gave us a way to scale as a product. We are now able to scale our business without needing additional headcount,” said Prakhyath Hegde, Head of Technology, Product, and AI Labs at Cropin.
Cropin Sisense Operational Results and the Road to GenAI Analytics
The Sisense deployment delivered measurable operational improvements: report turnaround fell from weeks to near-instant for self-service users, new analytics development cycles shortened to one to two week sprints, and Cropin reduced its dependency on internal reporting teams without increasing engineering staff. Customers can now build their own reports directly within Cropin Cloud. Looking ahead, the company is exploring Sisense Intelligence features including natural language querying and GenAI-powered analytics to further reduce the technical barrier to insights for end users.
“Cropin is a strong example of how embedded analytics can become a core part of the product experience. Their team has built a scalable platform that delivers actionable insights globally while maintaining operational efficiency as they grow,” said Andrew Loomis, VP of Customer Success at Sisense.
